Kar ni ni\u010d nenavadnega, saj so se kronisti, v tistih \u010dasih, prito\u017eevali nad ne vzdr\u017eevanimi in slabimi cestnimi povezavami, ki so ve\u010dinoma bile prej steze, kot ceste. Ker ve\u010dina &#8220;cest&#8221; ni bila prevozna z vozovi, je tovorni promet potekal s tovornimi osli in mulami. V koprski mestni upravi, so imeli izvoljenega uradnika, ki je bil zadol\u017een za ceste, a je denar namenjen gradnji in vzdr\u017eevanju cest poniknil v \u017eepih mestnih veljakov. Veliko nam pove tudi podatek, da je v \u010dasu, ko je Trst blokiral promet med Koprom in Kranjsko, po enem tednu \u010dakalo 80.000 tovornih oslov, da se kon\u010da blokada. Blokade je bilo kmalu konec, ker so Benetke z voja\u0161kimi galejami blokirale morski promet do in iz Trsta, a o tem smo \u017ee pisali bolj podrobno. Prevoz z lesenimi ladjami in jadrnicami, je bil, navkljub konkurence parnikov, \u0161e vedno najcenej\u0161i. Bilo je veliko podjetij in posameznih lastni\u0161ki ladij, ki so bile zaradi manj\u0161ih stro\u0161kov konkuren\u010dne. Z manj\u0161imi barka\u010dami so preva\u017eali potnike in tovor na kraj\u0161ih razdaljah, kot je na primer, Koper Ankaran, z ve\u010djimi pa na ve\u010dje razdalje, med istrskimi mesti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ko je na Pore\u010danki &#8211; Parenzani, leta 1935, vlak odpeljal zadnjo vo\u017enjo, je potnike \u017ee vozila lesena ladja Rex, na fotografiji. Izvirna zbledela fotografija je iz dru\u017einskega albuma Marise Pitacco. Izvirno fotografijo sem pove\u010dal, restavriral in pobarval, tudi s pomo\u010djo UI. Lesena barka Rex je bila prva barka, ki jo je kupil piranski konzorcij, za morske prevoze, ob ustanovitvi leta 1935. Preva\u017eala je potnike na liniji Trst &#8211; Piran, z vmesnimi postanki, tudi v Kopru, \u010ce je bilo dovolj potnikov. Na fotografiji, nastali med letoma 1935 in 1936, vidimo da prevozniku ni manjkalo strank, iz \u010desar lahko sklepamo, da je bil med najcenej\u0161imi ladjarji, prevozniki potnikov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Danes, je vse druga\u010de, saj preden bi kupil karto, \u0161el na barko in po\u010dakal da odpluje iz Kopra v Izolo, ali Piran, bi \u017ee pil kapu\u010din v Piranu, ali Izoli, kamor bi se hitreje pripeljal s svojim avtom, ali skuterjem.
