Motorist na sliki, je pokojni Jo\u017ee Kocjan\u010di\u010d, ki se je vra\u010dal iz Zanigrada domov v Hrastovlje. Leta 1957je bila ustanovljena Luka Koper, ki pa brez \u017eelezni\u0161ke povezave ni imela mo\u017enosti \u0161iritve, zato so \u017ee leta 1956 za\u010deli prou\u010devati mo\u017ene razli\u010dice za \u017eelezni\u0161ko progo. Izmed 20 razli\u010dic je bila izbrana povezava iz Diva\u010de mimo Pre\u0161nice v Koper. Progo so <a><\/a>dokon\u010dali 2. decembra 1967, ko je bila slovesna otvoritev, ki ji je prisostvoval tudi predsednik Jugoslavije Josip Broz Tito. \u017delezni\u0161ki proga je speljana skozi 2 predora in je dolga 31,4 kilometrov. Kasneje so jo jo \u0161e dograjevali in prilagodili tudi za potni\u0161ki promet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Takrat, kakor tudi danes, niso in ne razmi\u0161ljajo o dvotirni progi, temve\u010d takrat o prvem, danes o drugem tiru, kar seveda ni ravno dalekovidno.
