Ob\u010dasno zasledim o vo\u017enji biciklistov in motoristov po semedelski cesti, ki je menda rezervirana za pe\u0161ce. Kmalu bo 200 let odkar je bila zgrajena in ve\u010dino tega \u010dasa je bila priljubljena promenada, za tiste ki so imeli \u010das seveda. Gospoda se je s karocami vozikala po tej cesti in nato proti Izoli, vse do takoimenovanega &#8220;\u0110ira karoce&#8221;, tam pri sedanjem &#8220;Rexu&#8221;. Na tistem ovinku se namre\u010d izgubi pogled iz Kopra in tam so se ko\u010dije obrnile in odpeketale nazaj proti mestu. Ostali me\u0161\u010dani iz srednjega razreda pa so se zadovoljili s sprehodom do semedelskega hriba ali celo do \u017dusterne kjer so se od\u017eejali in odpo\u010dili. V kronikah izpred 100 in ve\u010d let se da zaslediti kako so se zadeve glede promenade spreminjale. Pri\u0161li so namre\u010d biciklisti in zgodile so se prve prometne nesre\u010de, kakor bi jih danes opisali. Tako so nekega poletnega dne neznani biciklisti &#8220;vrgli na tla&#8221; kot pi\u0161e, neko tr\u017ea\u010danko ki si je pri tem zlomila nogo. Ob\u010dinske oblasti so zato zapovedale hitrostne omejitve in stroge kazni ter obvezno uporabo zvonca. A ni preteklo mnogo \u010dasa, ko je tokrat en tr\u017ea\u010dan povozil eno doma\u010dinko Marijo. Mo\u017eakar je svojo neprevidnost pla\u010dal s tremi dnevi zapora in denarno kaznijo 10 kron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A to so bile v bistvu samo praske, glede na kaj se je dogajalo kasneje s pojavo avtomobilov, ki je promenado poslalo v zgodovino, pravzaprav v naslednje &#8211; dana\u0161nje stoletje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na sliki iz prvega desetletja dvajsetega stoletja vidimo poleg sprehajalcev tudi to, da je mesto \u017ee dobilo elektriko in telefonsko napeljavo.
